Terms of Service — Durevo mobile app

These terms are an agreement between you and Durevo Technologies (Private) Limited for use of the Durevo mobile app. If you licence the Durevo POS or back-office system for a business, that is covered by a separate agreement instead.

1. What Durevo is

1.1. Durevo is a tool for recording what your shop sells, what it holds in stock, what it spends, and who owes it money. It helps you keep records. It does not keep them for you, and it does not replace your own judgement about your business.

1.2. The app needs an internet connection. It does not work offline, and figures do not update on other devices as they change — you will see other members' entries when the app next loads them.

2. Your account

2.1. You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract.

2.2. Give a real email address or phone number. It is how you get back in if you forget how to sign in, and an address you do not control means we cannot return your shop to you. We may ask you to confirm an email address before you continue using the app.

2.3. Keep your sign-in details to yourself. Anything done from your account is treated as done by you. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access.

2.4. If you invite people to your shop, you are responsible for who you invite and for the permissions you give them.

3. Your records are yours

3.1. Everything you put into Durevo belongs to you. We claim no ownership of it and we do not sell it, share it with advertisers, or use it for anything other than running the service for you.

3.2. You are responsible for what you record, including any details of your own customers, and for meeting whatever obligations you have to them and to the tax authorities.

3.3. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose. Export your records regularly. No service is immune to failure, and your books are your responsibility.

4. Plans and payment

4.1. New shops start on a 30-day free trial with the Premium features unlocked. No payment details are needed to begin, and the trial does not renew into a charge by itself.

4.2. After the trial there are four plans — Free, Basic, Team and Premium — differing in how many items, sales and members a shop can have, and which reports it can use. Current prices are shown in the app.

4.3. Upgrades are currently arranged in conversation over WhatsApp rather than through a checkout. We aim to activate a paid plan within 24 hours of payment being confirmed. When a payment gateway is available, we will say so in the app.

4.4. If a paid plan lapses, the shop is metered at the Free plan. Your records are not deleted. You may find you are over a limit and cannot add more until you are back within it or have upgraded, but nothing you have already recorded is removed for non-payment.

4.5. Payments already made are not refundable except where the law requires it. If we withdraw a feature you are paying for, tell us and we will put it right.

5. Using it properly

5.1. Do not use Durevo to break the law, to record transactions you know to be fraudulent, or to store information you have no right to hold.

5.2. Do not attempt to reach another shop's data, work around the plan limits, take the service apart, or resell it as your own.

5.3. If you break these rules we may suspend or close the account. Where it is safe and lawful to do so, we will tell you first and give you a chance to put it right.

6. Availability

6.1. We work to keep Durevo available, but we do not guarantee it will never be down. It may be interrupted for maintenance, or by a failure at a supplier we depend on.

6.2. We may change or remove features as the app develops. Where a change materially reduces what a paid plan gives you, we will tell you.

7. Liability

7.1. Durevo is provided as it is. We do not promise it is free of faults, and we do not warrant that it fits any particular purpose.

7.2. We are not liable for lost profits, lost trade, or loss arising from decisions you take on the basis of what the app shows you. Where we are liable, our total liability is limited to what you have paid us for the app in the twelve months before the claim.

7.3. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

8. Ending it

8.1. You can stop using Durevo whenever you like, and you can ask us to close your account — see Delete your account, which sets out what is removed and what is kept.

8.2. We may close an account that breaches these terms, or if we stop offering the app. If we stop offering it, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to export your records first.

9. Changes and law

9.1. We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you in the app rather than relying on you to re-read this page.

9.2. These terms are governed by the law of Zimbabwe, and the courts of Zimbabwe have jurisdiction.

9.3. How we handle your information is set out in the app privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.
